Sincere thanks to our sponsors
Photos from the weekend
We were certainly very lucky with the weather for this weekend
as on Monday morning when I woke to start the long drive back
to Victoria, Sydney was experiencing heavy rainfall and storms.

SIEC is second to none when it comes to hosting an event at this superb venue. Not only is the venue always immaculately presented, the office and grounds staff are only a click away on the 2 way radio and any problems are dealt with within minutes.
I would like to personally thank Rob and Antoinette in the office and Jeff on the security staff who had everything in place ready
for us to go on Saturday morning.

Dressage entries were slightly down on last year however it was great to see a big increase in the number of ponies in the Young Pony classes with 2 ponies taking on the newly introduced 6 yo class.

Numbers have been decreasing each year for the freestyles so we will be giving consideration to dropping these altogether and look at other options.

Dressage NSW, Horseland, Camelot Horse Rugs and Acu-light have sponsored fabulous prizes every year since the inception of the NSW event and this year we welcomed Dynamik Stallions, International Animal Health Products, Wollombi Village Vineyard, Equissentials and Clare Downs Stud as new sponsors.

We take this opportunity to thank the sponsors for this event and
if you were lucky enough to win a prize, please take the time to send a thank you to the sponsor.

I would like to publically thank Mel Offord and Mandy Jones for organising all of the catering for the judges and helpers for this event. Mel put on a terrific spread and kept everyone well fed and watered. Mandy organised some last minute details for me and I very much appreciate their help and support.

Justin Worthy again took on the onerous task of booking all of the judges and came along with his fabulous crew of pencillors, gear checkers and runners. Without Justin, this event would simply not happen and I sincerely thank him for all the hours and phone calls he puts in.

Many thanks as well to David Lawrence and his offsiders for taking care of the pony showjumping classes. David is a delightful gentleman to deal with and has the patience of a saint! Some good suggestions from riders and trainers will be taken on board for next years event and we will look at reformatting several of the classes.
